Rama Devi Hansraj

She is currently working as state representative (Orissa), Catholic Relief Service (CRF). She completed her schooling from Hyderabad (AP) and Graduation in Commerce from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Later in 2002, she completed her Masters in Mass Communication in University of Hyderabad. 

She was recipient  of Ford Foundation's International Fellowship and got an opportunity to pursue another Post Graduation in Human Rights from University of London in 2004.  Since last 5 years she has been working in the development sector.

Bodhi DSR

He is currently working as Assistant Professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. After completing his schooling from Shillong (Meghalaya), Graduation from St. Joseph College (Bangalore) Bodhi did his Masters in Social Work (MSW) from TISS Mumbai in the year 2000. Later he completed his Mphil from NIMHANS, Bangalore in Pyschiatric Social Work. Since 2003 he has been teaching in TISS and currently heads the Dalit and Tribal Unit there.

Manoranjan Pegu

He is currently based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, representing SRUTI (Society for Rural Urban and Tribal Initiative) under FK exchange Fellowship programme. After completing his schooling from Guwahati (Assam), Manoranjan joined Kirori Mal College in Delhi University for his BA (Hons) in Political Science. Later, for his Masters in Social Work (MSW) he joined TISS (Mumbai) and was awarded his degree in 2009. During this period, he was selected for student exchange scholarship to Tulane University, USA.

Manoranjan has done his research work on ‘Socio-cultural significance of the Belief system of Deori and Mising communities of Assam’ and has served as General Secretary TISS Students’ Union (2008-09).

Dadasaheb Tandale

He is currently working as Project Officer at Pathfinder International, Latur (Maharashtra). After completing his schooling from Sainik School, Satara (Maharashtra), Dadasaheb did his B.Sc in Mathematics from Udgir in 2005. Then he joined TISS (Mumbai) for his MSW and was awarded the degree in 2008. For his Masters he wrote his dissertation on ‘the struggle of Marathwada Dalit for grazing land rights’ and also cleared NET- JRF in Social Works.  He has worked for NACO (Delhi) and NARI (Pune) before joining his current position.

Sangita Nigam

She is currently working as Programme Coordinator, All India Dalit Mahila Adhikar Manch (AIDMAM) at NCDHR, New Delhi. After completing her schooling from New Delhi, Sangita did her graduation in Social Work from Dr. Ambedkar College, New Delhi in the year 2005. Later she joined Delhi University, School of Social Work for her Masters. In 2007, she joined a Delhi based organisation known as Dalit Foundation as Young Professional and after working there for couple of years, she joined AIDMAM and is currently working there.

Ashwini Shelke

She has just completed her Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and is currently preparing for her higher education. After completing her schooling from Mumbai, Ashwini did her graduation in Sociology from Mumbai University in the year 2005 and her Masters from the same University in 2007.  Before joining TISS in 2008 for her MSW, Ashwini taught sociology at Leelabai Thackersey College (Mumbai). During her MSW, she wrote her dissertation on ‘Warli Art – Tradition and Change, Commercialization and its Impact on Culture’.

Nilesh Kumar

He is currently working as consultant with Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institutions Society at Gandhinagar. After completing his schooling from Mumbai, Nilesh graduated from Mumbai University in 2005 in History and Sociology. In between his studies, Nilesh also worked with organisations like Sneha Sagar and Childline India Foundation.  In 2008, he completed a Diploma in social work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai and later studied MSW from TISS Mumbai (2008-10).
